I'm almost 8 months old and my Mimi is sooo late!

**I have been terrible about the month pictures lately. I plan on doing better....plan being the operative word here.**

Drex is getting so big yet most people talk about how small he is...He comes from family on both sides of small people. 

He's not crawling yet but gets where he wants to go by rolling and soldier crawling. (I'm not sure of the correct term but you know how soldiers crawl on their belly? OK you get it. :))

He LOVES to eat but then again he is his mamas boy.  He eats most everything we have given him but doesn't seem to fond of potatoes...that's kinda odd. Maybe he wants ketchup on them???

He loves his daddy and I'm not downing daddys but all of them are not the best...Drex got a wonderful daddy and as he gets older he looks more and more like him. 

I love the way his face lights up when someone he knows and loves (Like me and Nana...hehe) gets in his view. 

He is a happy baby and is always smiling and talking. 

He gets real impatient when he wants a bottle...you have to be lightening fast for him. (again...his mamas child) 

I've had people tell me that he is so lucky to have so many family members that love him near ...I think we are the lucky ones.

He is truly a gift from God.

Spending the weekend with Mimi and Pop

 Drex spent the whole weekend with me and Pop! His mama and daddy and nana were moving. This is the first time Nikki has moved that I haven't helped and I felt bad but I did get to keep the baby!!

We chewed on our toes.....

 Learned how to get out of our swing and felt good about it!

I went from the living room to kitchen then RIGHT BACK to the living room and this is how I found him. He was very proud.

 Saturday it was in the 70s and we hung out on the swing on the back porch. Oh the conversations we had! He's such  happy and funny little boy.

This was taken today (Feb 1) He was looking out mamas window at the tree over my head. He kept giving me sugar...ok sometimes he was frustrated and tried to bite. Lord help us.

3 months

SO I am so far behind on posting Drex's 3 month pictures. Bad MIMI!! They are super bad because I didn't have my camera but at least I got them and posted before he turns 4 months on the 12th.

An hour with the grammas....

When I first put it on he was more interested in his parents huge tv.

This morning I went to spend a little time with Drex and Evette AKA Nana before work. I onlyhad an hour but I've learned to make the most of it. I finished Drex's square top hat with the 2 pompoms and we had a little photo shoot.....a poor photo shoot, it was cloudy and icky out and I only had my phone camera...piknik.com helped a little though.The hat is dark blue and black stripes....looks black only in these pics. The good thing is I have 2 orders for this type!

Looks like he's fussing but he was just talking. He really gets into his conversations.

Actually he wears us out....we just let him sleep.

Drex's dedication

I'm so behind...Drex was dedicated at church a few Sunday's ago and I'm just now getting around to posting the pics. I'm behind in everything!

I was 2 months old Sunday!

I love text messages with pics

I get picture mail almost every day from Nikki. I am sure going to miss these little surprises in my phone when she goes back to work. This is the one I got today.

Thursday we took Drex to get his shots. I think I shed more tears than he did but boy did  he scream! I hated seeing those tiny pinpricks of blood. His nana will be here tomorrow when we get out of church so he will be getting some extra loving for the next 9 or 10 days. I hope he one day realizes how loved he is.....

Sundays with Drex

Drex decided Saturday night he wanted to play and keep mama awake all night so I picked him up for church and she stayed home with a headache from lack of sleep. I also had nursery this Sunday so I got to stay in there with him...never complain about that. I wondered if he'd fit in the Bumbo chair. He did! He's holding his head up so good and he sat there like a big boy smiling at me as I acted like he was driving...of course I didn't get a picture of a smile but that's ok.

"I'm sitting all by myself!"

An afternoon at Mimi's

One day last week Nikki and Drex came out for a few hours...I'm gonna miss that when she goes back to work. I took a lot of pics...of course but I'll only post these 3 for now. Drex told me what to say-

"My mimi is a genius,she talks to me and makes me smile real big! This is my NO WAY DUDE! face"

"Mimi wore be out with all her smarts"

" I knew she'd love me up, I'll hang on just in case though"

Hey I can't help it if the kid recognizes my smarts!

A Month Old ALMOST!

4 more days and Drex will be a month old. He spent his first night with me and his pops and you can bet we enjoyed every second. He slept in the bed with us from 11pm to 4:30am and I'm pretty sure he slept better than both of us but I loved waking up every once in a while and touching him....or watching his Pops touch him when he didn't know I was looking.
He got a bath and loves his baths! He just sits there and lets ya pour the water all over him.

Looks like his cheeks are all puffed out! 

I love me some baby feet.

They really do grow up fast...It seems like Drex should still be tiny and some people say he is but to us he's a big boy!

When Poop becomes funny.....especially to others.

So yesterday Drex had his 2 week appt. His doctor is great! He sat up on the bed and just chit chatted with Nikki and I like we were old friends. Instant great impression!
 Drex is now at 9 lbs! That's That's a lb and a half since birth....and his mama thought he wasn't getting enough to eat! Doc says everything looks great and he's one healthy lil booger. (dr words)


Soo on to the reason of the title....

Yesterday at the dr office Drex was farting....I would be nice and say tooting or pooting or passing gas but this boy has no shame and he farts loud and proud! We were waiting on the dr to come in and Drex started his business and it sounded.....wet. So I check and sure enough it's a full diaper. I lay him on the bed and start changing him and he's not finished so I put the diaper up there real quick to catch it. After I put the diaper away I goto clean his butt and he starts in again! ALL. OVER. MY. HAND!
Nikki is no help at this point because she's laughing....at me! I finally get him cleaned up right before the dr walks in the door.


Fast forward to today....I go to Nikki's to see Drex...cause he's special like that. While I'm loving on him he starts up with the farting again...actually he is almost constantly tooting.... I take him to the changing table and take his diaper off..again he is not finished! It gets all over him,the changing pad,his old and clean diaper and his blanket. I really do try to stop it from getting every where but the boy is a fountain! He finally stops and because his changing table is so soiled I take him diaperless into the living room and PLAN on putting the new diaper on him with him across my lap....Can you guess what happen? As soon as I put the diaper under him he starts in again and it gets on another clean diaper so I grab a hand towel and put it under him so his mama can get a diaper....he fills the hand towel with poop and pee and it gets on me...AGAIN!
His mama for some reason finds these little pooping episodes hilarious.....


So 2 days in a row I have been pooped on....why me?
